Sustainability
The search for environmental balance is part of the daily routine at Pousada Maravilha, especially considering the importance of an ecosystem like that of Fernando de Noronha. This consciousness begins with the hotel’s design, which architect Thiago Bernardes has seamlessly integrated into the natural surroundings. The entire complex uses reforested wood and other natural raw materials.
The hotel’s care with the island is also evident in how it captures and uses rainwater, separates solid waste, filters hot tub water prior to draining, uses solar energy, cultivates an organic garden and uses native species throughout the landscaped grounds. All of this only works in practice thanks to investments in training the hotel’s staff and local community.
